decisions coming out today

They do this to us to make us worry. =/

i applied to Annenberg for Public Relations. but i said that i was planning on minoring in specific art subjects. I’m also first generation. Oh, and I know that the financial office doesnt really have anything to do with admissions, but they just accepted my appeal for independent status

Yayz gb. Now we just have to wait for the next wave. =/

Anyone else on here applying to Cinematic Arts?

my s did. No decision yet though. his status is the one that says “we have received your fall grades…”

how does USC calculate gpa? do they do it like the UCs: counting only 10th and 11th grade grades, and giving extra points for ap and honors?

I think they use 9-12(1st semester) grade.

Suenos and Curious, my S applied to Cinematic Arts, too. He is accepted at Chapman for film production (very happy about that!) and rejected by FSU film school. Do you guys have news from any other film schools?

My son applied to Production and Critical Studies. He has been accepted everywhere else (Chapman too) but is also waiting to hear from USC.

My son also applied to Cinema production and his status is we have received your grades… He has been accepted at SCAD and is awaiting word from other schools.

My daughter applied to both production and critical studies at USC only. If she doesn’t get into USC, she wants to take general ed requirements and then re-apply to USC and also the Art Center. How 'bout you all?

I applied to SCA at USC as well as Emerson, NYU, Barnard and BC for film…so far I heard from Emerson in December and I got into the Writing for Film & Television as well as the Honors Program. I’m hoping this is a good sign for USC since it was clearly my writing that got me the HP so early as my grades are good but not stellar. Anyone know how Emerson stacks up against the big cinema boys like NYU and USC?

i applied under the jan10 deadline…does that mean i will find out later than dec10 applicants?

i dont think so. i applied in dec and haven’t heard anything yet. i THINK nickel did too, but i’m not sure and her stats are wayyy higher than mine and she hasn’t heard anything. I don’t think it makes a difference outside of the trustee and presidential scholarships

My son also applied to film - critical studies - with computer science/physics as his second choice. He’s been stuck at “completed preliminary review” since 12/13.

my s applied to film school-production. His status is the “we received your fall grades…”.

I did apply for the Dec 10th deadline and you guys are flattering me again. >_< My stats aren’t so great.

I just tried to check my online status of my app and it said it was unavailable to tell me right now. It was fine yesterday when I checked it. Are any of you guys getting the same message when you try to see the status of your application?

I wish the status would actually tell me something. xD

my son also applied to production and has his status at fall grades since Feb. 19
