Decisions Date?

Hey everyone,

I'm a non-automatic Texas resident and I sent in my application to UT on October 30th. Most of my friends who are automatic admits have found out that they've been accepted to the university for general admission the day after submitting their application.

Does anyone have some idea of when I'll find out my admissions decision? I'm dying to know.

I’m in the same boat as you :frowning: On their website it says they’re aiming for late February, but last year most people found out at the end of January/beginning of Feb.

Darn! I was hoping I could find out around December/January. In some ways I feel that the top 9% rule is unfair.

Has anyone here found out their decision not through automatic admission yet?

Since you applied so early, must have been early action/early decision?
They let you know by the middle of December

^UT doesn’t have an EA/ED deadline…they just have December 1.
OP, I’m in the same boat as you. I really want to know already. Good luck!

MITerica where did you see that you get accepted mid December? I applied in September and I’m not automatic but instate. So I probably won’t hear until February?

I hope we all get in! I know UT does rolling admissions but I’m not sure how quick they are about non-automatic students. My friends in the top 9% found out their decision in “MyStatus” the day after they applied. :</p>

UT doesn’t do rolling if you’re not auto until around February, and then they start deciding. Well, based on last year.

I posted this elsewhere in the forum, but I just got my acceptance to College of Communications and Plan II (separate acceptances) this week. I’m a homeschooler, so I’m not top 9%. So they have started admitting non-automatic acceptances.

Congrats! When did you apply?

I got my application in back at the end of September, and my Honors stuff in on October 8th.

That probably means that I’ll get my decision in like…February. :(
