does anyone know when MIT early action decisions come out? Or when they release the day that they plan on releasing them?
Historically, sometime in mid-December. However, after a Google search, I don’t see an exact date. Remember that internationals can now apply EA, which could change the release date.
MIT always announced the date a week or so prior to the release. It varies. In 2014, they announced the date on the 5th of December, in 2013, the announcement was on the 6th of December, in 2011 the announcement came on the 11th of December (and decisions that year were released on the 21st). Basically, they release them when they have finished, and that takes as long as it takes.
As @MITer94 noted, the increase in EA applications this year caused by allowing internationals to apply EA for the first time potentially changes everything. Nobody, including I suspect, members of the admissions office, actually had a good standard to predict in advance how this year’s EA round would go. And of course, they never announce how it is actually going. Historically, they would normally announce the release date somewhere in the next week. We will wait and see.
@Mikalye interesting info that 2011 decisions were announced on a Wednesday. I always heard that it was a Saturday. Wow, I hope we won’t have to wait much longer. 12/21 seems like forever.
