Decisions email

Hi! Does anyone know if the decision is actually stated in the email itself or if it just provides a link to access the decision via the harvard website?

I believe it’s in the email itself. You can check the decisions thread from 2012 to make sure.

r u serious!? that’s so brutal…I probably won’t be able to take it…~~

i use gmail and probably will see the subject line from my inbox … but i would make sure i don’t see it so that i don’t spoil the fun!

is the financial aid decision attached? how do we access that guy?

^I believe financial aid comes later by mail.

the decision is emailed to you and is in the email message. it has a generic subject and you won’t be able to see your decision in the “preview line” that Gmail has for your messages, so you don’t have to worry about that.

and yes, financial aid does come later by mail.

ah cr@p. i’ll have to email them, then. thanks for that.

oh my god. why does it matter? why are people on cc so ocd/neurotic?

@ Kong Wen:

That’s

what

she

said.

apologizes to everyone

I think everyone is so uptight because they’d like to have a definite divide between knowing and not knowing.

Sort of like…when a pool is cold, you want to jump right away, rather than slowly lower yourself in.

It is an email with a generic subject line, which was actually a good thing. We live in the central time zone, and it was already in the email inbox when we got home about 4:40 p.m. decision day.

In contrast, the websites were ridiculously swamped for some colleges that have you check their website, so it took quite a while to find out in those cases.

^Yeah, Yale’s website was swamped this past December when EA decisions came out. I couldn’t imagine how slow Harvard’s web site would be if they posted their decisions online.

Well, for all those concerned about gmail’s “snippets” or the “preview line”, you can disable that feature in the settings area… if it’s that big of a deal to you.

when will we get the email?? march 31st???

Yes 10char

when on march 31st?? and how do u guys know the decision date? Harvard didn’t say anything at all.

“The Admitted Students Website will be accessible after all email decisions are sent on Tuesday, March 31st, 2009 at 5pm EST.”

This is from [Harvard College Admissions Office: Admitted Students](http://www.admissions.college.harvard.edu/admitted/login.cgi).

^ That’s like 4am for me… An all nighter is in order!

or a nap if you’re sane lol jk. Wow goodluck. YOu are truly committed to Harvard.

^ Dude, ML, I stayed up til 4 am for ACT scores…haha
