Decisions go out in waves, right? First wave arrived on the 14th. When's the next?

I just really can't get past the suspense. Friggin' EVERYONE around me got their acceptances. One kid got a rejection that I know of. And like 25-30 other people that I personally know got accepted. I, on the other hand, haven't gotten a letter yet. I hate this waiting game, especially since it can technically go on for the next TWO WEEKS.

Does anyone know how often the waves of admissions letters go out in the mail? They do it so as to not overload the post offices, but is it every few days or are there gonna be like 2-3 waves and that's it?

It might be every day with a break on Sunday. I live relatively close to Seattle and people have been receiving mail each day, even when they live less than a mile apart.

I got my letter of acceptance two days ago. I am in the first wave group. I actually live 15 minutes away from UW. Seattle students are most likely to get the letters earlier than everyone else.

It takes patience! Kids even get letter of acceptance on the last day which is March 31st.

I should mention that I live in Redmond, which is a 30 minute drive from UW. People who live 100 feet away from me got letters.

The only pattern I can see is that everyone accepted so far has GPAs from 3.4 to 4.0. I’m at a 3.2 (everything else is above UW’s average though).

I grew up in Redmond! Moved a few years back. High five~ ;D

(Random) .___.

High five for leaving Redmond? What’s wrong with Redmond?

Also, Redmond is not 30 min from UW. It’s a 12 minute bus ride.

High five for being from Redmond… Redmond is awesome! I never said anything was wrong with it.

Redmond could be >30 drive. It really depends on the time. My friends bus from UW on a direct bus and it definitely takes them at least 45 minutes. Then again, it depends what area of Redmond you live in.

Bellevue to UW would be a 12 minute car ride. I volunteer at the UW medical center all the time and I never get there from my house in less than 25 minutes (including the time it takes to drive down most of Avondale, hitting all the lights, before finally getting onto 520).

Nothing in the mail again for me today in San Diego despite a ton of my friends getting in and only 2 being rejected. Sigh…not looking good at all. I’ve given up hope of being accepted.

I got my acceptance letter today!
I live in Seattle, about 20 minutes from the UW. My letter was printed on the 16th, so i would expect many of you to be receiving those batches now :D

Any news for Indians?

Any idea about out-of-state US citizens living abroad?? I live all the way in the middle east XD My UW GPA is a 3.65 and W GPA is a 3.98.
