Here is the SCEA email, if you want:. It was sent on the 14th which was only a day before the decisions date, so you have quite awhile left.

This year we are offering you the opportunity to receive your admission decision online, regardless of whether you applied online or by paper application. We plan to post all decisions on Friday, December 15, after 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time at https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=su-ugrad. Please note that you will receive an official decision letter by mail whether or not you choose to view your decision online.

If you wish to use this online option, you will need both a PIN and a password to view your decision.

IF YOU APPLIED ONLINE, you will simply use the PIN and password you created when you completed your online Stanford application forms. At the bottom of this email you will find the PIN you used when preparing and submitting your online application forms. If you have lost or forgotten your password, please click on the "search" button on the homepage of our online application at https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=su-ugrad.

IF YOU MAILED A PAPER APPLICATION, you will use the PIN found on the bottom of this email as well as the password being sent in a separate email to log into the following web page: https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=su-ugrad. NOTE: Please disregard any references to the status of your application forms on this web page; the status of all application materials is maintained in a different system.

If you have any questions about Stanford's online notification process or the required PIN and password for viewing your admission decision, please feel welcome to contact our office at 650-723-2091.

thanks for the heads up, fuzzylogic

Do we have a definitive date for decisions then?

Nope, it is still up in the air

Has anyone tried calling admissions yet?

^ I called the admissions office about a week ago or so, and the automated message says that admissions decisions will be released between "March 30 and April 2." ;)

Hmmm...very sneaky...I'd look for it on the 30th. They have a thing for Fridays this year. :)

Or, perhaps they'll release decisions on the 2nd because they like being the last ones to give out decisions. shrug

lets hope for the 30th =)

I'm definitely hoping for the 30th as well. :) I'm totally going to be on edge Friday and/or the whole weekend. :p

Well I'm hearing from Harvard, Yale, and Princeton on the 29th...getting rejected from all of them would SUCK because I'd have to wait 2 days to hear back from Stanford, and it would be a really crappy 2 days since I'd be expecting another rejection.

^Awww...that sounds tough! I'm sure you'll do fine, though. Only a few more days left, guys! :D

P.S. I promise I'm not a cheerleader. I just know exactly how you all are feeling right now. I'd give anything to go back to Dec. 15th because it was one of the best days of my life. I really hope all of you will be able to feel the same way!!! These last couple weeks will be the most agonizing, and I can only try and keep your heads up! :) Hang in there!

Mallomar, I am in EXACTLY the same situation. Same four schools and everything. My prom is on March 31st, so if I get accepted to Harvard, Yale, or Princeton, I'm going to have the best weekend of my life thus far (well, top ten), and if I get rejected from all 3 of them then I'm going to have an amazing night of...not thinking about colllege and be really hopeful for Stanford on Monday or Tuesday.

Either way, though, I just wish Stanford would hop onboard with the 29th. I mean, I know they won't. And I suppose I do appreciate originality.

ha i applied to stanford harvard yale princeton columbia and cornell, all of which come out on the 29th (pending stanford)
wouldnt it suck to get 6 rejection letters?

at least i got into michigan...so i know im going to college.
but seriously, 6 rejections would suck

I've said it before and I'll say it again, my money is on decisions being released next Friday at 3 PM.

"Please note that we have received all of the necessary credentials and materials to provide your Stanford University application with a comprehensive evaluation. Admission officers will be reviewing your application materials over the course of the upcoming weeks. We are aiming to provide you with an admission decision no later than April 1. We will communicate with you regarding your admission decision by both mail and email to the addresses you provided to us on your application. Enjoy the rest of the year.

I know this isn't a definitive date. However, the "aiming...no later than April 1st" indicates to me that at least they plan to have decisions by April 1st, & since that's a Sunday, I think we'll be able to access the decisions by late Friday, March 30th.

You'll know the decisions have been released when I post thread titled "I told you so!" grin

is the aforementioned statement by Shawn Abbott an e-mail that everybody received or something? Ahh, cause i didn't receive it!

I received that email on January 29. I am assuming that if you did happen to have missing application materials, they would have notified you, because their website mentions that the "Notification of Missing Documents" date is Mid-February.

email to be sent on March 30

decision posted on April 2

I found this out from an admission's officer about one week ago.
