Just called admissions. They said the end of this week they will definately be mailed. But I hear mail takes forever to come from South Bend...Good luck!

Don't they email?

Guys, don't hold me to this, but I have observed on three occasions where ND admissions say they're going to be mailed on a certain day, but in actuality they are mailed a few days prior and many kids receive them on that day. From this history, I'd check Friday and Saturday's mail closely, especially if you live within a relatively short distance from Indiana - say a state or so.

I was told by the head of the ND Alumni Assoc in a very large city that ND sends them out so that you will get the letter on April 1. She was pretty adamant about how rigorous this process was and how well planned it was. I don't know, just passing it along!

I'm almost positive that two years ago my sister was accepted by email.

ND has changed some things this year....
everyone who gets accepted will be emailed friday afternoon and in the email they'll say something like WITH GREAT PLEASURE WE TELL YOU THAT YOU'VE BEEN ADMITTED TO THE NOTRE DAME CLASS OF 2010 , U'LL BE RECEIVING UR ACCEPTANCE PACKET IN A COUPLE OF DAYS

so yeah.... ppl.... we all find out friday afternoon... i wish the best of luck to ALL of you.

GO IRISH!

do u have a source?

trust me.....;)

I STRONGLY doubt this from what I know as a student here at Notre Dame and as someone who has observed ND do things for years. I have no vested interest in this other than getting you guys the truth. As such, I ask you fv920 to get in touch if you have a credible source. I know several ND admissions people and I will try to get in touch with them but I just can't see this being something that ND would do. Additionally, I can't see them emailing. Most schools would have you login to a server but it wouldn't come in a normal email. Perhaps they do that for international students but I don't believe this. I wouldn't believe this until either A. it happens or B. fv920 gives a regular some info so that we can validate it.

that's what i was thinking. i think that's the international policy. with that said, if intl. students are hearing by friday, then regulars should too.

Well since ND doesn't really have somewhere you can sign in and check what's going on... the only logical immediate way for everyone to know is thru email. My ND rep said so... and he didnt mention only international students, he said "everyone"

We will see if you are right. I just would be surprised and actually a little disappointed if they do.

My sister was not accepted through email, it turns out. She was accepted by mail, but she wasn't home at the time so someone emailed her to tell her.

My I just say how incredibly nervous I am? Oh boy - even worse? Saturday I will be in Syracuse looking at the school.

Irish is right.. they tend to send them out a day or two earlier than you'd expect. Last year I recall getting mine on a Saturday morning.. and I wouldn't be surprised if they sent them out Friday morning... that email thing would surprise me, but who knows! Best of luck to all.. I remember this feeling all too well (dreams and all, haha).

anyone actually get an email?

I haven't heard of any emails going out but I suppose there is still some time.

yeah I agree-I was admitted to ND early action and we never received emails-from what I observe EVERY selective school notifies their Early and their Regular applicants in the exact same manner, and the story is the same with ND. It just sucks because EVERY school posts online except for them and BC. If today wasn't the day, count on Saturday or Monday (monday most likely if you live outside a 500mi radius of South Bend)
