Decisions Mailed?

good luck to everybody and hopefully myself…

I absolutely hate it that some colleges send decisions through mail to international students. Ithaca sent me mail in the first few days of February, and I got it in the second week of March.

If Mac’s decision letter doesn’t get here before May, I will smash things.

(… idk, it feels inconsiderate to international students…)

@howiegrange
well…that’s why colleges decide to email us instead of sending mails…

I haven’t received my notification yet. I live in the New York City area. Should I be worried or is it too early for that?

Don’t be worried for another week at least. If it’s bad news you will a letter putting you on the wait list.

I know, but there are some colleges who give information only through mail. They never send an email saying the same thing.

Hey guys, I got an email notification today that I was accepted!

:) Whew! I thought Macalester sent decisions through mail only to all its applicants; I’m glad I was wrong~

Okay, feels weird to post twice in a row, but I just want to say that I was kind of stupid expecting Macalester, with its large number of international students, to be like other colleges with its admissions.

I got my acceptance letter via DHL today <3 Record time - eight days!

@howiegrange
haha! congratulations!
I’m kind of worried now because I am assuming they send out the acceptance emails all at once to int’ls…anyways…congratulations! btw,did you apply fa?

@zhiyioakdal
Thanks! Idk, maybe the mail’s just slow getting to your part of the country? What address did you put - your house’s or your school’s?

I didn’t apply fa.

@howiegrange
I put my school address there…i think…
i applied high FA …very very high…

School address should be fine… good luck!

@howiegrange
thanks…
