Decisions on March 9?

Quickquestion… It will help so next year’s group can see there IS no specific day/time of release, but that noon WashU time is a possibility! Also that applicants were emailed very close to the time of actual decisions being released. And actually, the pattern stayed pretty close to what was expected… only a day later than last year.

Yeah but I mean this year it was released at noon, last year it was released at 3:00, several years back it was released around 4:30… Also, last year emails were sent a day after decisions were posted… just seems like it’s hard to tell with Wash U! Maybe I’m just ranting, as this thread has kept me refreshing my browser for about a week haha :)

lol maybe that got so pressured by people calling the admissions office about when decisions will be released that they released it a few hours earlier than usual.

i never even got an email…accepted though!

Wait so is there a negative correlation between getting accepted to Washu and getting accepted to HYP? Or also any correlation with being waitlisted and accepted to HYP?? Haha I don’t want to be looking at my acceptance in a negative way now because my first choice is Harvard and second is UPenn

I got the email at 1:02 pm

If someone proposed that there was, I would really have a beef. Wash U average test scores are right there with the top schools. If a HYP caliber student demonstrated a lot of interest in Wash U, there is no reason for the school to wait list him.

Just as some wait listed students go on to HYP, so too do accepted students.

Accepted! Its not my top choice, but WUSTL is the first school I heard from so the peace of mind is nice.

That’s possibly the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. People who are telling you that are most likely upset they got waitlisted/rejected from WashU. Anyway, good job on getting into WashU. Also, I’m not saying this because I got in (because I didn’t  ).

WongTongTong I’m sure you will be attending an equally wonderful school. It is obvious that many many extremely qualified candidates were not accepted they must have been looking for what they believed was good fit. Good luck

I showed interest by campus visit and local info session…and i got rejected… I guess I’m just not HYPMS material… sniff
