‘It’s admission week’

-My Guidance Counselor

Wow, the 9th??? Thats only 4 days away!!!
Can anyone confirm the 9th or is this just speculation based on last yrs release date?

I think it’s speculation (and hope & anxiety & stress & fear) mostly…
I have been told by many people that are involved on the admissions side that WU typically (i.e., annually) releases decisions much earlier than stated. Take it for what it’s worth…
I can only hope they’re released this week!

Oh my god. My heart rate skyrocketed when I read this.

Does anyone know when decisions were released last year? 2 years ago? 3? If the dates are similar, then we can formulate some sort of trend.

You’re a little late to the party. There’s a trend but we can’t be sure it’ll continue with such a huge increase in applicants this year.

I disregarded the whole college admissions thing after I submitted my apps in late December, but I only recently became anxious about college decisions, which is why I’m “late to the party”. But even with the overall increase in applicants for all colleges, most schools have stayed on the same trend, in terms of notification dates.

Will they announce their release date a week before it happens like some other schools or will they just silently release decisions?

I think they just silently release it based on what someone said earlier, I believe.

Is Spring Break the week of March 14 for WashU? Because I could completely see them giving decisions out say Friday, so that it will be before the Break.

@Madshock: Yeah. Spring break starts March 13, so decisions could potentially be out March 11 (5 days from now!).

I just checked mine and still no change, it would be great to know by march 9th though !

Nothing up yet for my D. I doubt they would post anything on the weekend. I am betting it will be Thursday this week. (no inside info, just a gut feeling!)

for ED, they sent out an e-mail AFTER it had been posted and most people had found out. so don’t count on when they e-mail for when they post it.

I doubt that I will get in but good luck everyone!

Do you guys think that decisions will come in the mail the same day they are released online?

Re-posting my earlier entry with decision notification dates from the past five years:

"Okay, just did a thread search and here are online decision dates for the past five years:
2006 – 3/16
2007 – 3/15
2008 – 3/14
2009 – 3/11
2010 – 3/10
So… either they’ll continue the pattern and it will be EARLIER than 3/10, or the increase in apps will make it later. (However there was an 8% increase in apps last year and they still managed to release decisions earlier than the year before, so it may NOT be later.
peachesncream, decisions will be sent on the same day and will arrive a few days later.

^do acceptees only get mail, or does everyone get their admissions decisions in the mail along with the online one.
