Decisions out!

Ok..since Wake mailed decisions Friday, a lot of people will get them today or Monday. Post if you got in or not! I...have yet to go the mailbox yet >_>.

I'm assuming my son got in. He got a large envelope with the words Welcome to Wake Forest on it. It looks like it has a congratulations letter in it. Wish the kid was home to open it.

Well i got placed on the waiting list. At least i didn't get rejected. Anyone got any experience being on the waiting list?

eden1: Congrats to you and your son!

quwee: If you really want to get in I suggest you contact the admissions office and let them know about your continued interest. They typically want to know who on the wait list is REALLY interested. It might also help if there's anything new that you could share with them to strengthen your case (i.e. really good senior year grades).

just so i know roughly how many people are on a wait list. It isn't everyone who didn't get acceapted is it cause that would suck.

My son was wait-listed last year and stayed in touch with admissions to let them know how interested he was in attending. He was offered a spot in late April, loves Wake and is doing well there.

I just got the mail. I've been accepted! not too sure if I'm going or not, though.

I got in. I doubt I will go though. My bro goes to wake, and its a nice school but I just want to be my own person. I still havent decided yet.

where is everyone from?

I'm from a small county in NC that's about 30 minutes from Winston.

Son is from Chatham County, NC but went to Chapel Hill High School which is in UNC-CH's backyard.

I am from avery county NC. It's in the mountains.

Greensboro, NC...Tournament Town :)

i am from winston-salem, but i moved to charleston, sc years ago. my dad is still in winston, though. i didnt know NC residents got priority at wake. i was told it didnt matter, everyone was on a level playing field.

NC residents do not get priority to get into Wake, that is why it is a private school.

I don't know about the undergraduate school, but NC residents do actually have an advantage at Wake Medical School, so it's not impossible that there's an advantage for the undergrads as well, although I assume that if there is an advantage it's small.

Perhaps someone has more knowledge of the USPS than I. If they sent out the decisions on Friday, what's the chance that my letter will arrive in Alabama tomorrow?

Not that great. It took a week for a letter from North Carolina to get to me in Connecticut

well i expect mine will arrive in charleston, sc tomorrow, but i could be wrong.

i got a letter from wake recently about financial aid and i'm from connecticut, according to the postmark date it only took three days
