Decisions Released March 15?

I keep receiving emails saying that decisions will be released on March 15 according to the first letter of your last name. Does this mean that ALL freshmen decisions will be released? Or that they will just begin sending out decisions until the end of March?

Yes, all freshmen decisions will be released tonight.

I can’t wait to see the results. The message though is confusing: “midnight on March 15” Does that mean tonight at 12 am which is literally the morning of March 15 or tomorrow night.

it goes by pst so it’s out in like 2.5 hours

Phew, I’m excited for you guys! There’s a class of 2017 group all prepared on Facebook and everything.

Let’s do this guys! :)

gl hf! hope you guys all get in

what’s the facebook group?

I am too stoked and nervous!!!
My last name starts with N so id have to wait until 3am :frowning:
Doesnt help that ucsc is my top choice, ha.

Good luck to everyone who applied!

I don’t think I’m allowed to link it, but just search for “UCSC Class of 2017”.

Looking through the decisions thread last year it seems all decisions were released at midnight regardless of last name.

Maybe they just say that to stagger the load on the server?

I think that’s definitely part of why they release at midnight. :P

Even 4 years ago, I expected to wait until 3am, but got it only a few minutes after midnight.

2 min, TTTTTTT_T

Accepted! Wooo, glad I stayed up - I was a nervous wreck. Now I can go to sleep :)

My D just got accepted. Our last name starts with an S, but we decided to check just after midnight. Good luck everyone!

@StaticRoar: Honestly, you’re probably one of those people who will be accepted to the “higher-tier” UCs instead. It seems to always work out that way.

Accepted
4.3 GPA, 2020 SAT. Human Biology major (going to switch to Biological Sciences, if I end up going to UCSC).
Ahhh, I’m super excited! I don’t know how I am going to get back to sleep after this.

@ Liesel Does it really work that way? Do UCs collaborate with their admissions decisions? I got waitlisted from Cal Poly SLO as well.
