Rejection ]=

20char

Accepted! Honestly can’t believe it, felt surreal to read that email. Didn’t think I had a chance as an international student.

I feel really sorry for everybody who was rejected, but I know you’ll get in at some great schools nevertheless!

Ok maybe i’m missing something, but how did you know where you got into? aren’t decisions released april 1st for those colleges?

what were you other stats?

GENIUSBOB…most of the colleges you said you got into haven’t release their decisions yet. And with those stats…you’re essays must have been pretty bad.

Actually I have. For some of them, I was admitted under non restrictive early action programs. I also have received unofficial, preliminary letters from a few of the schools informing me that I will be accepted and that I just need to wait for my official packets.

@ GENIUSBOB.

In the interest of “yield management,” Stanford rejects candidates it is highly confident will be accepted into, and matriculate at, Harvard, Yale, or Princeton. As a consequence, applicants with the very strongest packages, unless hooked to Stanford, tend to fare poorly in admissions to Stanford.

Huzzah! I was accepted! Wow, I definitely didn’t have the stats of some people. I’m from a small public school in (non metro Atlanta) Georgia, so maybe I got points for diversity.

GENIUSBOB is too smart for Stanford
