Decisions Soon?

wow! that’s awesome news : D
now, i just have to get to the mail before my parents do, haha.

@MConklin, I live in South America, and the delivery of postal mail is extremely slow. Is it possible to get a decision by calling the Admission office?

When do transfer decisions come out?

We live on the west coast and it is taking US mail at least 4 working days to travel from the east coast. I hope UR emails decisions. It shouldn’t be hard to have the computers send them out. There’s already an online status page. A simple message posted online can be quite helpful.

Sooo excited about decisions being sent early!!

When should international students expect to get decisions? Should I keep an eye out for an email or regualar mail?

My daughter received a large envelope today from the admissions office!

Congrats intouch1520!!!
If you haven’t opened the envelope yet, you have MUCH more self control than DW or I!

Probably another day or two for us West Coasters.

Thanks AVHS Dad!

Not too much self restraint shown. I tried to see through the envelope but it was too thick!

My daughter came home from school at lunch. She’s in!! But no mention of merit scholarships. Does anyone know if that’s normal? So many friends kids have some mention of merit money in the acceptance letters from other schools. We are not getting any need-based aid and it would be nice for her to receive something.

Three years ago, the merit aid letter came shortly after the acceptance letter.

Congratulations to all who have heard positively!

intouch1520: On page one of this thread MConklin said “Decisions are only sent via postal services. Electronic notification is not available. However, the financial aid office will deliver financial aid packages, including merit based scholarships, via e-mail.”

Wierd, I know!

MConklin: Any idea when the FA emails will start going out?

Thanks AVHS Dad.

I got accepted today!!

intouch, abkgirl: I’m assuming your acceptances are for the combined programs. As MConklin suggested, applicants to those programs would hear first.

Congratulations!

rational2: Thanks! Actually I didn’t apply to any of the combined programs so I guess they’re reviewing the applications of regular students too. My mom is an alumni though which might be why I’ve found out so early!

Any stats from those who’ve gotten their notice would be appreciated!

rational2: My daughter also did not apply to any combined programs. But she did send in her app early if that matters.

I just posted mine in the other thread :)

Congrats abkgirl!
