I just got an acceptance today, and I didn’t even realize some were already sent out until I happened upon this thread. I didn’t apply to any special programs, just regular admissions.

I also have a question: I was eligible for two scholarships (FIRST Robotics and Bausch & Lomb Science Award) and I was wondering when I would hear about that. Since I didn’t specifically apply to the scholarships (except for sending a rec from a Robotics mentor), will I just not hear anything if I don’t receive the scholarship? Or is there a date that I should expect to be notified if I did receive some scholarship? Thanks for the help.

ETA: I just searched for an answer and saw that scholarship info is sent out a week after admit letters are sent out. I can’t wait to hear back about scholarships now!

I was accepted today too! This is my first acceptance so I’m super excited =] and it was a snow day haha

I am also wondering when merit scholarships are awarded. If no information on REBS program was received, is that their “soft” way of rejecting admission to the program?

Got my acceptance letter! Very excited. Regular decision…forgot date of submission but probably only a week or two before. East coast…I’M SO EXCITED! Ahh, when does financial e-mail come though!

My daughter was accepted and is very happy! We were really impressed with UR after our visit there last spring. D is eagerly awaiting the email with scholarship outcome as that will weigh heavily on her ultimate decision. Congratulations to everyone else (or their sons or daughters) who has been accepted.

Accepted with below 30ACT!! WOOO.

Accepted!

momonthehill: You captured our sentiments exactly. We absolutely loved U of R, but scholarship is critical for us. D already has been admitted to three other schools and has gotten $$ from each. Rochester, for us, is our “ivy.” Best of luck to you.

(For the record, D has very good SATs (700,710,720), one extremely high SAT1, one mediocre SAT1, excellent class rank and grades, excellent activites, very good essay, probably excellent recs.)

Congratulations to your D, JustBob! Yes, after our visit to UR, my D really felt that it would be a great social fit for her: The students that we met seemed, in general, sociable and down-to-earth, and at the same time they take their academics seriously. My D also has some acceptances, a couple of which include a decent amount of merit aid so, for better or worse, it will play a significant role in her enrollment decision.

Got accepted! I was super excited- I actually sent in the application at the last possible minute, january 1st, so I was suprised to hear back so quickly!

Anyway, congrats to everyone! Now waiting to hear back from everywhere else April 1st.

A friend of mine’s son just got his acceptance yesterday. No word here yet.

Dayumm nothing on Long Island, New York yet =/

accepted with 29 act and i am graduating a year early!
i am stoked! don’t know if i’m going though…

Daughter accepted with a 33 ACT and 4.0 ++ GPA…and all the other stuff. It was a large envelope but not a surprise because it said WELCOME on it in big letters <g></g>

My DD got her acceptance yesterday, we live on L.I. NY

Question, all of you who have gotten accepted or had kids accepted, are they invited for the renaissance scholarship interviews?

I was accepted and NOT invited for the renaissance scholarship interviews.
I also applied on the deadline, so I was surprised to get the decision so quickly.
And…I live in Southern California so everyone in the nation who was supposed to get a decision this week should have gotten it by now since I live on the other side of the country!

One of S’s friends got a packet Thursday – invited for GEAR interviews. S has not heard anything yet.

Shay:
D accepted, not invited for the Ren.

ugh, wth, they still haven’t received my midyear report. but it was definitely sent out to all of my school like 3 weeks ago -_- do they need this before they make a decision on me?
