Not a good sign lol

Yeah, as ecstatic as I’d be to get my decision today, I don’t think it’s gonna happen. :/

Early action students started getting their decisions around 3pm and the status page went down the night before, I think. Unless they plan on notifying everyone at once… it sorta doesn’t look too good right now. But who knows?

has anyone heard yet? my status check still works :(

looks like were not hearing back this week. Well the wait continues. Pray for next week.

Does anyone know when regular decision transfer students should hear back? I probably have to wait another month :(

Yep, I got my EA decision notification email back in December at 4:04 PM EST. Not sure if it was down beforehand though (I hadn’t logged on around then.)

hey claire,
I guess we’re not finding out today, maybe another time!

i hope you dont go away or anything so you wont be able to check, because that would suck!

I guess my anxiety must go on a little longer…

Hi, i’m an international student and i was accepted on february 3rd and before i was able to see my acceptance letter online through my app portal I had to sign in like about 7 or so times because my portal just wasnt working so if this happens to u then i guess ur decision is on its way.

Good luck everyone!!!

This makes me sad :(

My friend was deferred EA and her email saying that Admissions decision was available came on December 16th at 10:03 pm. So i guess the email could come at anytime not always around 2 or 3…but still waiting so anxious.

You know, except for Ea decisions it has not been a “normal” admissions season. I don’t think they have ever done the early “rolling type” RD admissions thing. I bet they are trying to get some feedback on some exceptional student applications- ie- those who scored 2100+ or so with 4.0 etc to get a feel of who in that category might be coming. The rolling ones were all (I think) honors with high merit awards… I would bet there is a BIG waitlist this year. But of course this is just my observation!
When they ARE released they START around 3pm but are released by region thoughout the day/evening/night so as not to clog up the site. Good luck everyone.

I was accepted as an early regular decision and i’m a pretty average student (check my stats on the official admissions thread) I have NO idea how they are organising the admissions decisions release, there seems to be no real pattern (except that decisions always seem to come out on a thursday)

Good luck everyone

matilda can you post your stats? sorry i cannot find your other post

SAT - 1640
A Levels : A, B,C
GCSE - A, A, A, A, A, A, A, B, B
EC - Marathon runner/ work in a law firm/ charity work

Scholarships/honours - no

International student

Excepted Feb 24th

SATs are pretty terrible but as an international student they arent looked at, British schools dont use GPA’S so i just posted my grades :)

do you think because international students SAT scores arent used that its harder for us to get scholarships?

Cause i really was hoping for a scholarship

SAT- 1850
Biology M- 650
Chemistry- 690
GPA- 3.7
:(

I’m pretty sure people who get scholarships were the one’s admitted back in February for regular decision. I could be wrong though.

^
That’s wat i thought too, but I was accepted back in february and I wasnt offered a scholarship. I know mya stats aren’t that impressive, probably average, but it would have been nice to have received something considering that they only offer merit based aid to int’l students.

but in any event, I’m super happy and quite frankly still shocked that I was accepted!! ^_^

It seems like a few trends are occurring regarding admission decisions, so I made you all a list of my observations/predictions. Please correct me if I’m wrong (especially since these are all essentially guesses):

*Decisions will come out in stages on a Thursday (so March 17, 24, or [eek] 31.) The status page will be down for a while beforehand.

*Scholarships and honors(?) will still be given, and they probably did their weird rolling admissions-type thing to have a gauge on how much scholarship money/how many honors spaces they’d have left.

*There will be quite a few Spring admissions. The reason I say this is that on the blog ([Northeastern Admissions: Expanding the Global Community Though N.U.in](<a href=“My Blog”>My Blog)), there was a lengthy article about the N.U.in program for studying abroad during the first semester (which seems really awesome.)

*EA deferrals will be notified at the same time if they have not already. (Not sure if any deferrals have heard back at all.)

As I said before, this is completely based off of speculation (and therefore last year’s RD admission process which is not at all the same as this year.)

Good luck everyone!
