<p>I know UNC is sticking to their guns and keeping with their "end of January" line. However, in the years past this was the week. What do you guys think?

<p>For a school that had an EA deadline 2 weeks-one month earlier than other schools, I think they owe into the kids to get the decision out ASAP. Just my two cents.</p>
<p>I very much agree PsychoDad. My nerves have been running rampant since January 1st. I do know that this year they got over 15K applications and from what I’ve been told by admissions is that they have one of the most extensive review processes out there. That being said, I do wish they could come out earlier as well.</p>
<p>I think it’s this week. The fencing guy from the main threaD of 2017 got a call from his coach. To me that means they are ready. I know you might say that it’s sports but fencing is not basketball is it!</p>
<p>Last year they sent the decisions out on a thursday, do you think it is possible we could hear back in the next two days?</p>
<p>I think any time is possible really. I think they’ll release them as soon as they can so that they can get us out of their hair!</p>
<p>Since scholarship day invitations have been sent out I think that means they’re finally ready. I definitely think it will be by the end of this week.</p>
<p>I hope it’s this week! The wait for early action at Chapel Hill is so long…especially since we applied in the middle of October

<p>Never mind - just saw the thread on scholarship weekend - looks like so far everyone that has received the email (and I think it is only 3 on this thread) are In state. Do they invite out of state students?</p>

<p>I really hope decisions come out tomorrow like they did last year! Although if they do, I’d probably be freaking out in school the entire day tomorrow</p>
