Super bummed to get rejected; Davis was one of my top choices for schools and really think my stats are competitive to get in, or at least wait listed where i could write a compelling essay to explain why I want to go to Davis.

ACCEPTED!! undeclared Social Sciences, backup only though, Accepted UCSB Chancellors reception…

Denied, even though I got into Cal Poly SLO. Interesting, I didn’t see Davis as a more competitive school than SLO.

Hi everyone! Congrats to everyone who was accepted! I’m currently a biochemistry major at UC Davis, and I have to say, choosing this school was possibly the best last-minute, spur-of-the-moment decision I ever made (can’t say the same for some of my other ones :P). And to those of you who were waitlisted, hang in there! I got in off the waitlist, even when I thought I had zero chance of getting in.
Anyway, I’m posting to invite you all to join the Official Class of 2016 Facebook group, where you can all get to know eachother, and get advice from upperclassmen and people who work at our office of undergraduate admissions.

Join it! Experiencing the friendly, welcoming environment from my classmates at Davis just moments after I got an email saying I was accepted was one of the key factors in my decision to go to UC Davis. I had 3 days to pick, but after seeing how nice and helpful people were, I submitted my SIR that night. Honestly, there’s something here for everyone. If you give it a chance, you may quite possibly fall in love with this school! I did.

Oh, and waitlist people, I can give you tips on your statement if you PM me!
