Decisions via email!! Thanks!

OK, I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but if I applied via paper (I was too scared to do it electronically; I had heard horror stories), will I get a decision via paper or via email?

If so, will the email come on the 29th (as one thread suggests) or on April 1st?

Also, is it true that that the heading gives the decision away? Like for accepted students that it says, "Congratulations" in the subject? And for rejects if says, "Your Jhu decision"?

if you put an email down on your application, then they'll most likely send you the decision email to that email and by paper.

the email comes after the last decision letter arrives at the baltimore post office. so if they send it on the 29th, then you'll get an email hopefully on the 29th.

and yes, the subject line of the email gives the decision away :] accepted students get "Congratulations from Johns Hopkins" and others...well, i'm not sure what subject line they get, but i'm sure it doesn't have "congratulations" in it. lol.

Do you know what time though? I hope they send the email early in the morning. Although I can probably check my decisions at school, I dont wanna do that. And I dont wanna wait all day at school until 4:30 in the afternoon. Thats nerve breaking.

expect to check it during school, or after.

i checked mine after school which is like at 2:30 central. i don't think anyone will know the exact time because no one knows how the traffic is going to be when they're trying to send all of the letters to the post office, or when they're even going to leave the building.

OK, let me for the last time put all this discussion to rest...

(1) Decisions will be released no later than April 1st. Currently we are on schedule to release on March 29, unless unforeseen circumstances prevent us from doing such.

(2) When we do release decisions, we will first drop off all the mail at the main Baltimore postal center. Once the mail is out of our hands we will send emails. THERE IS NO WAY TO DETERMINE WHAT TIME THE EMAILS WILL BE SENT, because we don't even know!!!

(3) Emails will be sent to everyone who submitted an currently active email with their application, whether it be online or paper.

(4) We have not determined the subject line of our emails, and we reserve the right to change it. So what ED students got or what last year's students got does not mean this year's group will get the same.

(5) All decisions will be sent an email - Accept, Wait List, and Deny.

That is all the information you are going to get, because we don't know anything else. Let us do our work...speculation will just lead to frustration.

wow admissiondaniel please, no offense shutup haha That's the 50th time you've said that, combined with the applicatin process, I'm not sure how long your sanity can last!

Ok, that was really rude. AdmissionsDaniel was just trying to answer our questions so calm down manimgoindown.

no he meant that people keep asking the same questions and poor AdmissionsDaniel has to answer them again and again

thanks admissionsdaniel..
Just a couple of things..
1. Speculation is good fun too :D
2. The Johns Hopkins message board isnt letting me post!! I dont know how to contact u and its rumored that PMing u isnt the bestmethod. I post and it says ok... then my post vanishes after that :8

i don't mean to be a nag or annoying in any way, but i just wanted to ask if anybody has any updates on the status of admissions
today's the 29th- were things on schedule?

nvm- just saw the 'unfortunate delay' thread- sorry, new to cc
