LOL! Hey, y’all, I wrote this copy before I had any idea that my S might end up at Bama. (Wish I had inserted “Roll Tide!” somewhere.)

Time to use my employee discount, methinks…

@NJbama: I don’t think the number of posters on CC is a fair representation of the quality of alumni & parent support for a given school. It’s pretty obvious that Auburn has a very large parent & alumni network, they just aren’t posting on this board. CC doesn’t accurately represent the reality of the world on many points (GPAs, test scores, college admissions, etc) There are many people in the world who’ve (gasp) never even heard of CC.

I realize that there is a rivalry between the schools, but they are pretty similarly from an academic standpoint, and for us, it will be about fit rather than sales pitches.

Actually auburn’s alumni network outside of the southeast is virtually non-existent. And their endowment is about half the size of Bama’s despite auburn having a larger enrollment for many years.

Look into their accreditation problems with SACS. That will tell you all about what kind of “family” they are. Of course now that Bobby Lowder lost his bank they might be looking for a new father figure.
