Are rejections/waitlist send through “regular” i.e. not first class mail?

I cant wait to hear!! Although sadly I think I can guess my decision given that Carleton is a pretty big reach for me. Oh well, I’m still excited haha

sara12: regular mail and 1st class mail are the same thing and yes, that’s how all decisions for US applicants are sent.

Waitlisted :(

From the Denver area by the way.

@manarius: Denver got decisions already?! I’m from Boulder, so I hope I hear today! Sorry to hear you got waitlisted Best of luck my friend!

You’ll probably get yours today then. 0 for 2 so far!

I’m sorry you got waitlisted, manarius. This admissions process is often luck of the draw - I wish you luck with your other applications.

Haha, I guess I don’t know much about the US mail system. So, a decision should arrive at the same time whether it is a rejection or an admission?

son recvd a small envelope today. prolly a rejection. is carleton need blind out of curiousity? i thought he was a good fit academically, but we have alot of F need.

Accepted in Massachusetts! I’m wicked surprised given the distance but hey, I’m thrilled! :)

Got it today in Illinois. Big, blue acceptance envelope. :)

Congratulations, everyone! You must be so excited.
I hope not getting a decision doesn’t mean anything bad… does Carleton mail acceptances first?

Just in case anyone was wondering, my waitlist was just a regular envelope with a single piece of paper inside.

My daughter was also waitlisted today.

Hmm, nothing in Seattle yet!

Nephew got accepted today and was named a William Carleton scholar! We live in South Dakota. He has a 0 EFC and got a very good financial aid package. So exciting!

Waitlisted in a Portland suburb. Single sheet in a regular envelope. Oh well…

Waitlisted =) I’m fine with this haha better than getting denied! And I’m in MA

Which part of Massachusetts are the Massachusetts people from? I still haven’t received anything…

@Kdurs11 - I’m from Cape Cod, which makes it even weirder considering it usually takes 1957389276 years for anything to get here. What part are you in?

Hmm… I’m west of you, kind of near the RI borders. That’s amazingly fast for you, I guess I’ll probably hear tomorrow? God knows my letter probably got lost in the mail or something.
