^dude, I know, rejection two days before the ivies sucks… :(

Denied. Surprisingly, I feel good - like I got a rejection out of the way. I’m 5 for 6 with colleges so far (Davis, UCLA, Berkeley, Wesleyan, and Holy Cross acceptances), and I’m waiting to hear from a few Ivies and Duke on Weds… crossing the fingers!

I was a deferred EA candidate so wasn’t really expecting this to work out. To everyone in the same boat - keep the hopes up! :)

So the thickness of the envelope definitely deceived me… I was excited when I got it out of the mail then upon opening realized I was WLed. It’s okay though because I don’t think I would have attended Georgetown

@SeniorPUL – Well the waitlist acceptance stats they sent in the envelope actually are pretty promising compared to that of other schools. Good luck to everyone on the WL!

Received my rejection letter today in MA.

@Napster, I feel the EXACT same way as you! Gtown was my first rejection, and it wasn’t one of my top choices so I was fine with “getting that rejection out of the way”. I too am waiting on a couple Ivies (Penn and Cornell) and Duke (my first choice). Fingers crossed!

ahhh hahaha im in MA too…and my first rejection…
and this was top on my list…so im pretty bummed outt…
if i didnt get into g-town, does this basically mean that i have no chance for the ivies on wed…? this sucksss.
i just got back to school from spring break!!grr…

massgirl93 - I’m glad I’m not the only one with that reaction! Best of luck on Weds :D

haeji93 - nope!! I have a friend from last year who was rejected at Georgetown and accepted to Harvard and Cornell. Different colleges look for different people - so your rejection means nothing in light of future decisions. Good luck and remember that everything will work out like it’s meant to :)

Rejected But I’m really happy to go to my top choice right now, so it’s okay~

My son was deferred and then denied. Fortunately, he always realized it was a reach. He has apparently narrowed down his choices to UVa and Villanova.

If you don’t get rejected by at least one school, you haven’t reached high enough. At least now I feel more comfortable that I did not encourage him to apply to any other extremely selective colleges.

guys join the fb group! I can’t picture everyone.
