Decisions?

When will regular decision notifications be sent out?

They claim mid march. Marchb15th gets thrown around a lot. Last year it was march 11th.

Last year on Friday, March 11, some applicants were able to find out “unofficially” if accepted by logging on to the accepted students link on their My Blue Hen Page. “Official” acceptance packets began to arrive on Saturday, March 12 (a few of them) with most beginning to arrive on Monday, March 13, and then throughout the subsequent week(s). It remains to be seen if students will be able to find out “unofficially” thru the online accepted students link like last year (there was a major snafu with this last year so I don’t know if things will change this year). In any event the mailed acceptance packet is the only official notification of acceptance. Obviously the corresponding date for this year would be Friday, March 9. We shall see. Good luck to all applicants.

thanks a lot guys. both very helpful.

just trying to bump this thread to see if anyone has any new info

Nothing. UDel admissions told me yesterday that they will update our info at the Blue Hen login after they mail out the letters.

i’m so excited for the news, but i just wish i had a bit of a hint as to when the letters will be mailed. Is Udel your top choice?

I’m trying to decide between them and Villanova. Getting my financial info from Delaware would help a lot.

Its in my top two also. U Del and Cornell U. are my top two- haven’t heard back from either and Cornell is obv a reach but yeah same, hearing back from UD and getting financial aid info would be helpful.

Hi @kaylidm. I applied regular decision for Cornell too. We should hear back in the next week or so. Even if I am accepted, I think I will probably not attend. It’s a little far for me. I want to stay closer to home if possible. What state are you from?

Oh really?? Which school did u apply to? I applied to CALS. I heard that ILR was hearing back this week and into next week but i didn’t know other schools would be also. I though 29th-but earlier the better i guess! I’m in Brooklyn, NY so it’s kind of far (~4.5 hrs) from me too. It would be a hard decision for me too if I were to get in.

@kaylidm, I am in Long Island, NY. I applied to the Chem Engineering program. I also applied to Bucknell, we will hear back from them soon too. I am pretty sure I will wind up at UDel or Villanova. Cornell would be almost 6 hrs away for me.

Oh wow that’s def a hike for you. Well I wish you luck with all of your schools! Would be funny if we all end up at UD next year.

Good luck to you too kaylidm! Maybe we will be in the same school. Keep us posted on where you wind up. Come on Delaware, post our info already!!!

i applied to cornell too! lol but for economics which truly minimizes my chances bc of the competitiveness of the school of arts and sciences

Will do and you do the same! Yeah I can’t wait for them to just send them out already haha. It seems like a lot of people applied to a bunch of the same schools.

Richierich24, I think you are right it does depend on the major your are interested in. My cousin who was valedictorian, eagle scout, 4.0 gpa UW and had high SATs was waitlisted at Cornell(Finance/Econ) and others with much lower stats got in. Cornell is a tough one to call… I have faith that we will wind up where we are meant to be. At least that helps me to sleep at night LOL

Got today’s mail already. Nothing. Just thought I would let anyone who was waiting by the mailbox today know. New Jersey.

Thanks for letting us know.

wow your mail comes so early haha. and thanks for the heads up.
