did u check ur UW net ID to see if ur transcripts (if needed) and test scores r in?

Test scores are in, but I didn't send transcripts because I don't need to according to their website.

I've heard that other people who applied really early like us haven't gotten responses from UW yet. :(

All the people I know who've gotten in so far applied in October.

dopke u ll get in this month...if not then start worrying

dreamkissed- me too

Would applying for financial aid slow down the time it takes to be admitted/rejected?

Dopke, I'm positive that you'll be accepted. If you haven't already, maybe you should give the college a call and ask about it ^^.

Haha dream, that page was last updated July 2002. =(

Anyone know if they mind if you just call them up or go to their admission building and ask if everything is OK with my application? Have any of you done this?

I haven't done called them since I sent my application, but when I was filling it out, I called them three times. They seemed pretty helpful overall...

Well, I applied Nov. 29 so I'll have to wait a while before I call..

anyone get in since? :)

I just found this article. Interesting, according to it you need 70 AI which is 3.7 and 1220 for auto accept.

Dopke, you're my hero. That article is a huge relief.

By the way, did your myUW account say that your application has been reviewed yet?

Is that for in state or out of state?

JTsunami - yeah my app was received on Nov 4th, but still awaiting prelim review. :(

the AI of 70 is most likely ONLY for in-state apps. Out of state may not even use AI, but are automatically sent to comprehensive review. Or AI just might be higher for out of state.

Oh my gosh! I got accepted!

First off, I want to thank everyone in this forum for all the help and insight that they provided. I'll be glad to give you guys my stats if you want. =) Good luck to everyone else applying!

how'd you get accepted already? do you have hella high stats or something? I think i turned in my app on nov. 25th and they haven't sent me anything back yet. :(

UW admissions is being really random. They accepted some of my friends that applied the last week before priority deadline and I still awaiting prelim review sinec Nov 4th :(
I think mine got lost under a pile or something.

What does the online status say for you JohnnyTsunami?

This is exactly what it says on the myUW status:

"Application Status
Thank you for applying for admission to the University of Washington!

We received your application for admission as a Freshman student to the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2005 on November 30, 2004.

The status of your application was last updated on December 9, 2004.

Congratulations! You have been offered admission to the University of Washington. A complete packet of information about admission and enrollment is mailed approximately 5 - 10 days from the date this status was updated in our system. If you have not yet received it, please allow sufficient time for the mail to reach you. "

I sent my app online on at night on Nov. 29th. So I'm very fortunate to get a reply so soon. Dopke, your stats are higher than mine, so you should call admissions and see whats up.

DC, I've heard that even some of the earlier applicants don't hear back until Feb-Mar so its still pretty early.

Give me a PM if you have some more questions. ;)

How long does it take to get the letter with your application code? I can't check my status without it! I sent in my app Dec 1st.

Doesn't it say up to 14 days especially if you sent near the deadline?

Congrats JT!! I submitted my app on Nov. 22...this is what my page says:

"The status of your application was last updated on December 13, 2004.

Your application has been reviewed. All applicants are informed of admission decisions by mail when results of the review process become available."

It is similar to yours but the second part is different...i don't know if that means that I got rejected or if it will be a couple days before they post that I got admitted. My index number is 70. Let's hope for the best!!! Good luck to everyone else.
