When is Colgate releasing admissions decisions? Can decisions be viewed online?

Last week of March. Decisions by mail only.

i thought it was between the 15 and 25 of march

Rachel
that is what i saw on a CC post about a month ago.

And I sincerly hope it is true b/c the 15th is very close and i can't wait anymore.

haha me too!

but they say they release on April 1st...

I am intl. and wondering about the decision time of ED II and RD (just be curious. ^_^ )

April 1st? I was hoping it'd be sometime around mid-March...oh well, 3 more weeks....

I am intel too, anyone knows if they send email notifications to intels?

my friend (were from Vietnam) who is studying in NZ has just received his acceptance email 10 days ago, and is awarded the Alumni Memorial Scholarship too. I think you guys will see your notification letters soon :) Gud luck!

i visited a few weeks ago, and was told april 1st they are mailed, but who knows

april 1st/starting tomorrow?

anybody?

has anyone heard this week?

i was toold april 1st also.. when askd the admission counselor of my region via email...... well also it said by mail ( i askd abt whether it wud be mail of online..or email)

bad news that colgate has to do stufff the oldie way.

SM

Most colleges say that they release their decision by April 1st to allow them more time, if necessary, to review applications, especially if they received more applications than they had anticipated. [Yale, for instance, had more EASC applicants than they'd anticipated and therefore people got deferred simply because their app was never reviewed...but I digress.] The truth is that most colleges will release their decisions in the last 10 days of March.

As for doing things by mail, I actually think it's fair for people who may not be able to access their e-mail accounts daily for whatever reason. This may not be Colgate's thought process, but if it is, it's nice to see that some colleges are trying to make everyone equal.

If you look at CC threads from last year, notices arrived during the first few days AFTER April 1st...

my friend did not apply for an "Early Decision II". She was accepted and then received a thick envelope. Moreover, she has been selected for an Alumni Memorial Scholar Program (which offers some benefits but strangely does not offer a scholarship).

well....I dunno abt the equal part, as ppl living abroad get their mail much much later after the decisions are out...so....

Has to be pretty soon now, since freshman and sophmores have already been asked to sign up for and attend training for April visiting days, when admitted students will sleep over in dorms, attend classes, eat in the dining halls. Visiting Days are scheduled for:

Tuesday, April 11 - Wednesday, April 12 &
Tuesday, April 18 - Wednesday, April 19

a few other colleges have posted notices on the admissions webpages when they have sent decisions. does colgate do this as well?

I bet if you call the admissions office, they'll tell you. I think the decisions are mailed early next week.

good luck all internationals!!

Acceptance class 2009 for international
1,014 applications; 88 admitted (61 countries); 37 enrolled

Scary isn't it??
