anyone have any idea when decisions are coming out? (mail/online if either?)

I'm not exactly sure when, but they sent a postcard that said by mid-April so I'm guessing at least not before April 1.

I believe April 10: http://www.pomona.edu/adwr/admissions/Applying/Deadlines.shtml
and i think it's by snail-mail? somebody correct me on this if i'm wrong.

it'd be really helpful if someone who was accepted to Pomona last year could tell us when they ended up getting their decision letter.

i can tell you that i got mine a lot sooner than april 10 last year....it was sometime before the end of march....the 28th or 29th maybe? it doesn't really matter though...that's not guaranteeing that they'll come out at the same time this year so i wouldn't obsess too much. well granted i did obsess even though ppl told me not to but it comes when it comes, ya know? in a way i think it's kind of nice of the admissions ppl to say april 10 bc that way you might convince yourself that it's gonna be FOREVER before it comes and then tada! it ends up arriving early. wow i know this is a long reply but i can def. feel your eagerness having gone through the omg-i-need-my-letter-right-now phase. good luck!

april 10 seems mighty harsh. but i'll bet most of us will get it earlier this year. i think april 10 is the latest they will send them out...i mean considering that then we onlyhave three weeks to decide!

Three years ago, I got it around the 28th of March as well, so most likely it will come much earlier. I'm guessing that the posted April 10 date is to give them some leeway if something happens.

my friend who is a freshman at Pomona this year said he received his acceptance letter last year on "like march 22nd or around there." we are west coast, so it may be a couple days letter for applicants who live far away from claremont.

oh, and i believe he plays water polo now for P, so he MAY have been recruited...maybe he got his letter earlier than non-recruits? dunno, but it's a possibility.

Ohhh, reading all of this makes my stomach lurch with violent nervousness.

yea, i'm from tennessee and i remember gettng mine like 2-3 days after the people that lived really close to the school

whoa i never got a postcard from pomona--should i be worried???

yes you should be. you shouldn't live your life until you hear from this college.
Call admissions if you're worried. But really just chillax and wait until april 10

last year they said decisions would be out by April 9. But searching late March 2005 on the Pomona forum show that acceptance/waitlist/rejection letters were received Monday, March 28.
