Decisions

that unfortunately does no good... ive tried just about everything and im losing hope. looks like im going to have to wait till tomorrow...

yayyy!! so excited. see you guys next year.

I got accepted ED to Wash U in Engineering. See you guys in the fall!

blah.. everyone but me got in :(
I'm interested what you guys put as major
i applied for olin as first choice.....
one of the reason I EDed wustl is that they told me its easy to swtich majors when I figure out what I want.

My S got in ED...Arts & Sciences. He's interested in the Philosophy/Psychology major.

I applied for the aeronautical engineering major. I wonder how many people did that?

But ok with it. I had killer EC's and decent SATS(within the range), AP scholar and all that but obviously I'm meant to be somewhere else. Any suggestions on preppy schools with great teaching. Interested in biochem and politics. I'd like to be in the northeast and maybe a liberal arts and then cont on to a larger institution for graduate studies. Thanks

what are the engineers stats like?

My stats for engineering were a 34 ACT and a 1500 SAT (760 M 740 V). Pretty good GPA, alright ECs I guess, and who knows about my recs and my essay. I never read my recs so I have no clue and for all I know my essay could have meant nothing to teh amissions officer. Anyway, yeah, those are my stats.

My stats for engineering for my ED (Wash U 2009) were 33 ACT - 1410 SAT- 3.87 GPA All honors and AP classes including 4 years of French and 3 years of Chinese--EC's were in the OK range, compared to this board, lots of com. service, not alot of awards only Natl merit comm. and a few other things .....never saw teacher recs, but I assume they were good........

Did anyone get their package in the mail yet from Wash U? Just wondering......

My son got his package via UPS 2nd Day Air today.

yeah i got mine at like 6 00 today!

Ok....I got mine at 6 today....................

Yeah, I got mine too. Not much to it, but hey, a free binder!

As did I, congrats fellow member of the class of 2009....

I somehow got accepted to Olin. SAT - 1400, SATIIs - 610, 650, 660, decent ECs but no leadership, probably decent recs, and average essays.

mport1, may i ask you your gpa?

I believe it was about a 3.8/3.9 unweighted and almost a 4.1 weighted. I've had 3 Bs during highschool, two in APs and one in Spanish 3. Another person at my school with almost identical stats got in as well. We the same SAT, almost the same GPA, and even wrote about the same things for our essays.

congrats to all the acceptees! i'm a RD applicant so i don't have any stats to share
