Maryland is a safety for me, but is also very, very close to the top of my list. I wanted to get out, see the world, but the truth is Maryland is a great fit for me; I love the size, the basketball, the programs it offers, DC...Realistically speaking this is the perfect school for me and I will probably end up going here.

So good luck to all of you...Maryland is a great school, many people choose it over Ivies. If you come from an in-state public and people badmouth it, just visit campus and see for yourself that it's really a rising, unpretentious institution that is going to make a great four years.
