Decisions!

I just got word that they're still working on decisions, but I wasn't able to ask if they're working on a specific kind of decision letter (wait list, deny, etc), or if they're doing all the admits at once, all the wait lists next, etc.

I know that last year, they did a kind of tiered system where different decisions went out at different times, and that they wanted to avoid doing that this year.

with very generous financial aid package (Dean's award + needbased). This is my first formal acceptance pack, so I'm very excited!

Spike,

Based upon your experience, at what point, or date, would it be appropriate for a (non-international) student to contact the admissions office if (s)he hasn't received a decision by then? After April 1, perhaps?

Thanks.

ohh i havn't heard anythin yet.. i think sadly thats it for me

Some of the other kids in my town (about 20 mins away from 'deis) received their admissions letters already (the salutatorian and some other girl), but I haven't gotten anything. My DAD got a letter from Brandeis today which was in a thick envelope (cuz he's an alum) but it wasn't related to admissions >.<. Does this mean that I didn't get in?

Momonthehill,

April 1 is fine, but generally they won't give decisions over the phone. Just let them know you haven't heard yet, make sure they confirm your mailing address, and ask them to re-send the decision.

And just for clarification - ALL non-US address accepts are sent out via courier, regardless of the applicant's citizenship.

Andy,

The alumni offices do seperate mailings. They work off their own lists/databases, so whether or not your dad gets something means nothing as far as your admissions is concerned.

Spike, thanks for responding.

I was actually wondering whether or not the fact that two other people got in from my school along with the fact that I didn't hear anything yet means that I'm getting rejected, etc?

Thanks in advance

So have all decisions been mailed or just some acceptances or all acceptances?

I have no idea what that means, to be honest. Last year was the first year where they mailed all of the acceptances on one day, denies the next, wait list and incomplete after that. Not only did we in the office hate it, but it was a complete disaster. I know they were going to try to avoid that kind of thing again this year... so either they didn't avoid it, or they're doing them in alphabetic lists, or random batches, or some other form of getting some decisions out before others.

I live in MA and I still haven't gotten a letter.....I have a feeling a rejection is coming my way........especially since a girl from my school got in but I still haven't received anything....:(

I just want my letter......does anyone know if rejections are definately coming out later this year??

So far it looks like only one person on the west coast has posted that they have been accepted (RD). Anyone know of anyone else west of the rockies that has heard (RD)?

Has anyone from pittsburgh or western pa hear?

My S in NY State has not heard anything yet either. I have a feeling he will be waitlisted.

Got an acceptance letter yesterday!!! Deans' scholarship and Trustee Scholarship, plus a few smaller fed sub loan. Small town in NH.

yeah one of my friends got accepted from my school and lives in ma too and i applied and didn't get a letter...i hope they are just slow

any international student got in yet ???

any international student got in yet

sucks to be an international student ...

Sucks to keep watching this thread and still get no decision, as well.
