Decisions!

I've read rejection letters from other schools that were unnecessarily harsh.

Really? I have not yet been rejected from anywhere, but I'd expect they'd be careful not hurt the feelings of applicants who are basically still kids. We dream of going to some of these colleges, put our heart and soul into getting the aplication done, pay the fees, etc. Least the ADCOMs could do is to give out a decent rejection letter!

I just got rejected. It's not such a big deal though... Brandeis probably wasn't the right school for me anyway.

so I still haven't gotten ANYTHING from Brandeis and I live like an hour away...what's going on?

this is making me angry.

alwayscocacola, my guess would be wait list. They appear to be going out in groups.

My S got his waitlisted letter today. We're in NY State. He has received some admissions and scholarships since applying to Brandeis, so does not feel bad, and he plans to take himself off the waitlist. Good luck to all the rest of you (one less on the wait list!).

Waitlisted today. Eh..Brandeis wasn't really a top choice...I'm debating whether or not to stay on the waitlist...Rochester still hasn't sent out all their acceptances (they have 2-3 more acceptance batches...most likely 2) to send out next week...well, I have until April 20th to decide, and Rochester will definitely get back to me within the next 1-2 weeks.

To the waitlistees: pray that I get into Rochester, because if I do, there will be one less person on the waitlist!

Ahhh! I won't be home until Sunday, and it is driving me crazy that my decision is (most likely) just sitting in my mailbox!

Congrats to everyone who has gotten in so far!

D received her waitlist notice today. She, like Moonmaid's son, also received a number of acceptances, mostly with scholarships, and is ready to move on. So she's going to turn down her spot on the waitlist.

Best of luck to everyone--wherever you end up going to school.

Friend got in today. International. $21,000/yr scholarship
straight A's at O and A Levels= 4.0 uw

REJECTED!
They sent my letter on the 20th, and i got it today (i live in so cal). Well, it didnt work out for me, i guess it wasnt the right place. good luck everyone who is waiting anxiously by the mail box and congratulations to everyone who got in!!!

Gaia, there's lots of Asian students at Brandeis. The stats are kind of misleading in that sense... I mean, they are numerically small but very active on campus. I mean, it's not like a UCLA by any means, but I haven't heard complaints from my Asian friends about being Asian on campus. :)

Got my letter in So. Cal. today - waitlisted. 3.4uw GPA, 2310 SAT (guess which one sank me?). Well, that and I'm sure they weren't drooling after another Jewish girl from California.

I'm not heartbroken, since there are other schools I like as well, but I'll probably stay on the waiting list. Anyone know how many people usually get accepted from it?

Congratulations to those who got in!

How likely is it to get accepted after being waitlisted??

i am honestly in shock that you got waitlisted. in shock. you have amazing stats.

I'm debating the waitlist. There is likely little or no money offered if you're taken off, and lofted triples? o_0 I'm really surprised because Brandeis usually loves students from my school, and my stats are better than 90% of the accepted students based on last year's stats...
