<p>Rank: 5/223

APs: 5 US History last year, Calc, Literature, Euro, Music Theory, and Chem this year
ECs: Marching band, drama, piano, several choral groups, Interact, math and science activities, etc.
Hooks: uhh...none? Maybe Gov School or the fact that i was my school's marching band drum major. Oh-national merit finalist.
Essays: I was a fan of my common app essay, and my mom's colleague (a Haverford alum) loved my honor code essay.
Guidance Counselor and Teacher Rec's: Pretty good, i'd think. Plus a rec from Gov School and one from my marching band director. </p>

<p>Congrats to all other acceptees and best of luck to everyone else!</p>

<p>Decision: Accepted</p>

Recs: Very Good?</p>

<p>damn.. I thought I was special for getting that lol and concerning Bobbo- you didn't turn in the Haverford supplement?</p>

<p>I got waitlisted and I'm just curious to see how others handled the honor code essay. In retrospect, I think that may have done my application in. Or that I didn't have an interview and I live an hour away.</p>

<p>Congrats to all who were accepted! I'm from Cali, and i just got my rejection letter. Life goes on.</p>

<p>ACCEPTED!!!</p>

<p>Haverford is my first choice so this feels AMAZING. I was so worried because I heard today that three people from my school had been waitlisted yesterday. I really really really hope that things work out financially.</p>

<p>Basic stats, if interested:</p>

<p>SAT's: 2130 (700, 710, 720)
ACT: 33
GPA: 3.92
Location: Seattle, WA
AP's: Latin Lit (5), US Hist (4), Calc AB (5), Euro Hist (3), Eng. Lang (4), Am. Gov, Stat, Eng. Lit, Phy C
EC's: Really heavily involved in drama club, also in orchestra and choir, volunteer at aquarium, founder/member of marine science team, rec basketball, etc etc.
Essays: Probably the best part of my application, asides from maybe my rec. letters. I really put a lot of myself into them, and the honor code essay turned out really well because I love the code so much.
Rec. Letters: Better than I ever could have wished for - really showcased my personality and how it contributes to my learning and everything.
Other factors: I visited the campus Junior year (that's when I fell in love with it) and had an interview on campus then too, which probably showed my interest well.</p>

<p>Like I said, I'm ridiculously excited/happy. Eeee!</p>

<p>Decision: Accepted :)

Teacher Recs: didn't get to read them, but I assume positive.
Counselor Rec: very positive, emphasized interest in activism and community service

No one out here knows what an LAC is</p>

<p>Wow Sunflower you did so well on the AP Spanish test (which I've heard is really hard) that I am now thinking that the SAT II Spanish test must be ridiculous!</p>

<p>Congrats to everyone who got in. :) If you are planning on attending or just want to meet some people who also got in, join the Facebook group! :)</p>

<p>I joined the group :)</p>

<p>Not 100% sure I'm going, but I sure I hope I do.</p>

<p>Accepted! (in Seattle, WA)</p>

<p>Still waiting to hear about what financial aid they'll give me - that will probably be a significant factor in my decision. Hopefully they can offer me something substantial...</p>

<p>I was rejected, but it's okay, it wasn't my top choice or anything. I got into Hampshire so i'm happy!</p>

<p>Accepted, but I didn't turn in my Common App supplement due to a combination of laziness and not carring too much about the school. I'm quite surprised, and my ego has inflated a bit too :-). This just shows how holistic decisions really are, haha. </p>

<p>I wasn't planning on going anyway, so I'm sorry, whoever's acceptance spot I took.</p>

<p>YAY Accepted =]</p>

<p>Really thought I had no chance because of a lowish sat...but i guess they look at more than just one thing.</p>

<p>Admit it Armadillo, you only submitted the pre-app and Haverford was so taken by your seeming indifference they admitted you!</p>

<p>My son got the acceptance yesterday!</p>

<p>Hc alum</p>

<p>He's visited twice and really likes it!</p>
