Decisions

What date did people get their acceptance / rejection letters last year? Is the acceptance the typical big envelope and rejection the typical small standard sized envelope?

Also, will we find out first via e-mail, the website, or regular mail?

acceptance packages were definitely large (and I would assume that rejection letters are in the typical envelopes, putting them in a bigger envelope would just be cruel). Mine was sent priority mail but it still took a while, I found out on the website a few days before I got the letter. Last year I think decisions came out on the March 31, may be different this year. I actually got my letter like April 4 (it straddled a weekend and I also live far away so it seems longer than it is...).

decision will be posted online??? when? like e xact hour

We should call the office around the 25th of march and then probably they will have a solid answer to give us regarding the exact hour and date.

ahh it's so soon!

no its not

If you call this soon, then a moderate wait must be no shorter than a centuary for you!

decisions are accessed via website first. you don't get them during email. i was out of the country when it was mailed (they're sent priority mail at the end of the business day when they're posted online), but since it's priority, it'll be a couple of days, i would imagine. the duke acceptance package is really sweet, actually. on the priority envelope, they have a "Duke Class of 2009" address sticker for you! inside is a poster, a folder w/ all the information & last year the folder had a gold sticker w/ your name and Duke 2008 on it, or something to that effect. the duke acceptance came in a thicker envelope than most, i remember. also, i think my decision was posted march 31 online. it was pushed back a day, which was agonizing. also, i'm on eastern time at home, and as for hour, i remember it was during dinner time.

bruno...I started counting down til my ED decision at 80 days...lol
