Got my acceptance letter today. Came in a small, thin envelope. Almost thought I was rejected for a second there.

crazy, where are you from? Is it sent priority or what? When is it postmarked? Was there just one sheet of paper in it, or more? Sorry for all the questions. I'm beyond anxious right now...

CONGRATS!!!

I was fine till I read this thread. Now my blood pressure is through the roof and I, too, am anxious.

I suspect I am in for some big disappointments in the coming days...

I am from Western Mass, about 45 mins from Hartford. Postmarked yesterday. Just one sheet of paper saying I will get my acceptance packet later.

Good luck!

crazy, did you receive any of the packets about the special programs (Guided Studies, Cities, etc)? Also, was what you got an actual acceptance letter or more of a likely letter?

I got in, too! Yeah I was surprised that the acceptance envelope was so thin.

Stain, this was an actual acceptance letter, not just a likely letter, right? (Just asking cause it seems weird for them to send a letter and say the package will come later...why not send the whole thing all at once? maybe they just wanted to scare us with the tiny envelope...hehe)

CONGRATS!!

I'm soooo not getting an acceptance ;-(

Yes it was an actual acceptance letter lol!
Anarchy24, don't be so negative. Trinity really isn't THAT competitive.
I'll see everyone at open house (hopefully, if I decided to get my butt up to Hartford)

I don't mean to be a pest, but I'm too lazy to try to remember if someone has posted when the open house is (I applied to 12 schools, and trying to keep track of all of this is getting crazy...I guess I asked for it...hehe)...so could one of you post the date(s)? Thanks!

That's wierd. Does that mean that anyone that didn't get a letter didn't get in, or maybe they don't send all thier letters at the same time. I hope for the second, especially since i live in hartford county and i didn't get a letter, or maybe the postman has a grudge against me. Anyhow, congrats for getting in.

Accepted in NH today :) I'm glad I had you guys to warn me about the tiny envelope.
Now to decide between Trinity and BC...

missariella, What are your thoughts about BC vs. Trin? They're quite different schools. I'll also be deciding between those (and a few others, but of the ones I actually have a chance to get into or have gotten into, those are my top 2 choices) if I get accepted to Trinity. Trinity's special programs (esp. ISP and Human Rights) are really exciting I think, but BC's community service opportunities are awesome. I really don't know what size school I want to be at, and I don't know how to figure that out. I haven't formally visited either campus (my sister goes to BC, so I've seen her dorm and such, but I didn't go on a tour or anything b/c at the time I didn't think I wanted to go there), which I will have to do in April. What are you looking to study? I'm thinking biology or neuroscience (which Trin has but BC doesn't...+1 for Trin). I've also been a big college sports fan all my life, so BC is definitely a better match there. Who knows...so many things to consider...and this is all assuming I'll get into Trin, which is certainly not a sure thing...

Anyway, I'd love to talk more about it with you if I'm accepted, so PM me if you want :) CONGRATS!!!

I've been going nuts waiting for this letter, I live in Worcester, MA, about an hour northeast from Hartford and I haven't gotten anything yet. Same thing for another kid at my school. I just got into BC last week, so I'll also be choosing between BC and Trinity (considering that I get into Trinity)

Good luck everyone

Not that I have anything to worry about, because I know I wont be getting in, but I live in upstate NY and haven't received anything either. It should definately be here tomorrow

Accepted! Just got a phone call from Trinity telling me that my letter will be here (CA) in a couple days and what the VIP days are in April.

Did anybody else get a phone call, who has already gotten their acceptance letter? Or is it only for people on the west coast / far away?

I live in CA and I haven't gotten a phone call. Hmmmm...

I got an invitation to apply to the Guided Studies program, so I'm hoping that means I'll get accepted, but I'd really like to know NOW since I'm leaving on Thursday morning for a 10 day trip in the South.

Do they ever pay for the flights of west coast students to go to the VIP days if the student has demonstrated tremendous financial need?

peace, it's always worth a try to call and ask...can't hurt if they've already accepted you. Schools tend to fly in candidates they really want (I don't know anything about you, so I can't make that judgement), but I don't know about ones with extreme financial need. Sounds like a ligitimate reason to ask if they'd do it. Explain that you haven't visted the school, and although you're very interested, it would be very difficult for you to commit to it if you haven't been on campus (if this is the case), but you can't afford to visit. See what happens. Good luck!

Well they seemed to be gauging my interest, as the lady asked me if I would be visiting during VIP days..I said that I had yet to hear from all my colleges, so I didn't know where else I was visiting, and she seemed to understand
