Your son sounds a lot like mine. He is a freshman now at UD majoring in honors mechanical engineering, and he is an Eagle Scout, too. He is very happy at UD. There are many opportunities there for those students who go after them. Good luck to him. If you have any questions, let me know.

My son got his acceptance letter today and he is very excited, UD was his second choice, but he really loved the school when he visited. He is completely confused now, because he got into his top 3 schools and now has to make the very hard decision.

I dont envy any of you incoming freshmen during this process. I am sure your parents feel the same!

Good Luck to all of you!

I got my package today! Yay!

Honors program, 7000$/year in merit based aid, I didn't apply for financial aid. I'm going to drop into one of the visit days but it really depends on what other schools I get into.

Honors program, $5000/year in merit aid--not very likely due to high price, but i really don't know

cmm, I'm in the same position as your son. I've gotten into 7 out of 9 schools I applied to--still waiting on one, wait-listed at one (but probably my last choice anyway so I didn't care). Since I got into all my top choices, it's going to be tough to decide as I got some nice merit aid from several of them, too.

D got in, letter in mail today, includes merit scholarship. We are in PA.

DD finally got her acceptance yesterday, a day after all her friends. I felt so certain that she was in after being able to access the Accepted Students web page but there was this nagging feeling that....who knows? Now that the large blue envelope is in hand she's breathing easy. But now the decision-making gets tough: she's into the Fashion Merchandising program at Drexel too and can't decide between them....

We called admissions yesterday because we were freaking out about not being able to log on and not receiving a letter yet (though we live overseas, so mail is slow in coming). A very nice lady told me that letters are still going out and will still be going out next week, and to be patient.

So, if you haven't heard anything don't give up hope yet!

Tedrco- also called and got the same reply-she also stated the decisions do not go out in any particular order-some won't be hearing until end of next week

Son didn't receive acceptance until April 5 last year.
