Has anyone received a rejection?

tedrco, my S is international student too, from Hong Kong, also still waiting. do you mind to tell where are you from? how you learnt about UD? do you think it is a good college for international students? we just learnt little of it from fiske guide + insider guide + princeton review (web information). we apply there b/c it is close to our relative in philadephia (unfortunately, they don't know UD)

any other international student still waiting?

good luck to every applicant!

Our daughter attends the International School of Bangkok, but we're American citizens so we're not really international. We visited the campus last summer and left with a really good feeling about UDel. I'm not sure whether UDel was our daughter's first choice for a school before our visit, but it clearly was after the visit. We found everyone at the school to be friendly and eager to help and at the end of the day we all had a really warm vibe about the place.

The campus itself is really nice. Lots of green space for the required, "frisbee on the campus green feeling" that a lot of kids look for in a campus (that's how one of the student guides enthusiastically described the place to us). The dorms were kind of small, but what dorms aren't? Newark might not have much to offer, but you're only an hour or two from Phily, NYC, Wash DC, and the beach. You'll read about crime on/near campus on this site, but it seems no worse than any mid-sized city, though I can understand how parents and kids raised in quiet and peaceful suburbia might be concerned.

I can't say whether UDel is good for international students, but it seems like they are really trying to improve their reputation and standing and we got the impression during our visit that being an international student would be regarded as a plus with regard to admissions...at least I hope so ;-)

Good luck. I hope we both receive (positive) word soon. The wait is killing us!
