Decisions?

^^^ They are not, but IT types usually prefer not having to deal with server crashes on a weekend. With loads as high as they are going to be, my guess is that they will try to avoid the surge on a weekend, and the potential problems this may cause

OTOH on a weekend the normal business-day load if off the servers, and the IT people probably have staff on duty anyway.

yeah i remember SD released their decisions last year on a friday, so its prob the 23rd? that was a good weekend!

I remember getting the letter on Saturday though xP

IT guys prefer to work weekend and late nights!
Even MIT is releasing on Sat:

Wait are these dates for transfer students??

^Transfer should still come out in April. These are for Freshman.

Ucsd - 3/15
Ucla - 3/17
Ucb - 3/27

^Is that for Freshmen or just Transfer students?

"Ucla - 3/17"

I don't think it'll be like that this year. I applied for their Regent's scholarship and they said they'd send a notification if I received the scholarship around the 19th. If I didn't receive anything then, I'd have to wait until the regular decisions come out -- around March 27th, I believe -- to get my acceptance.

I remember getting a Regent's Scholarship and wondering what it was for, since I didn't even have my admissions letter in hand yet. Those, plus additional financial aid offers, are sure signs that you're in. :)

Not sure if this is applicable, but I received an email from UCI stating my status had changed around 3am the day they released decisions, so maybe all the UC's do it this way. My assumption is that it's automated.
