Does anyone know when they send it out/post it on OPUS? I know they say April 1st but so does almost every other school out there and many of those schools let us know sometime in March. Could anyone who attends Emory now or applied last year say when they received their decision? Thanks

Emory does not usually post any earlier than stated on their website. Maybe this year will be different since many school are notifying students earlier.

Educated guess: this Saturday morning at 8:00am…just a guess though…

I wouldn’t expect the decisions to come out early. Last year the regular decisions came out on the afternoon of April 1st. I believe that the URM decisions came out a week earlier, though.

rodney, how educated is that guess?

Here’s a link that tells you what the Admission Office will tell you:
[Regular Decision](<a href=“Admission | Emory University | Atlanta GA”>Admission | Emory University | Atlanta GA)

Notwithstanding that SOME students (i.e., athletes, URM, et. al.) will find out prior to April 1st, it’s typical that Emory will notify via OPUS on April 1 for about 99% of RD applicants. I wouldn’t believe any “guesses” otherwise, and based on past history, there’s no reason to doubt that what the Office of Admission states in writing.

Why must you make us wait, Emory?

I’m sure they could get them out sooner if they really wanted to.

maybe if you check your main page on Opus something has changed? like having a new email under your current address??? i can’t believe my D is the only one with that active email!!

cer: not at all, obviously…could have sworn we received the decision last year closer to March 15th (a Saturday in the a.m.)…sorry to cause a panic; Norcal would definitely know better than I…

this is ridiculous…colleges dont need three months to decide!! omg

LaVieEnChocalat: You asked that question too many times Lol. Personally, I don’t think it means anything. Perhaps you should call the admissions office and ask about it.

^ anyways i’m happy now… at least she will be going to college… my D has been accepted to American yesterday! i’m feeling better… do you know which school will be better for International Studies and linguistics? Emory or American?

Seeing as how American doesn’t even have a linguistics major, Emory wins that discussion easily. (Like some colleges, American offers Ling classes thru its Anthro dept.)

^ no, but they both have an IR major!
