when does binghamton start releasing decisions?

anyone know?

around april 1st

March 31/April 1. AKA forever.

but i thought its rolling admissions…did it change?

I don’t understand it either. I thought ‘apply early, hear early’. I’m beginning to feel like I’m not going to get accepted, anyway. I’ve been accepted to other schools, but Binghamton was my first choice. It would just be great to know, either way…soon.

I couldn’t agree more evnstvn. I don’t understand the logic. I envision this giant stack of acceptance letter ready in Jan/Feb, just sitting around until April. Doesn’t quite make sense.

When I went to the info session, they said they had so many applicants last year that this year they decide to change things, thats why they dont have EA anymore. They said they’re waiting for all the applications, so they can look at the whole pool first. Someone then asked when we would hear decisions by, and she said since its the first year everything changed, they’re not sure but definitely by April 1st.

Actually, I got mine in the mail today. The letter was dated January 21st. I applied in October, if that helps.

Are you instate or out of state and could you post your stats? Thanks!

Apply early, hear early only applies to OOS students. IS students will not be notified any earlier, happens EVERY year. Just hold on and wait til April 1.

Idk I’m in state and I got in already

When did you receive your decision?

like two weeks ago

It would be helpful if people who received decisions could post whether they are IS or OOS, freshman or transfer applicants, when they applied and what school/major they applied for. I’m thinking my S’s freshman application to Harpur just may take longer to get a decision on but he did submit back in October.

I applied at the beginning of December, In State, as a music major to Harpur

I was pretty shocked to get my acceptance but if it helps, I’m thinking it might have something to do with the fact that I’m being recruited as an athlete.

It does help to know that while you are IS, you were recruited as an athlete. I guess we’ll be waiting until April. Congrats on your acceptance!

I haven’t heard anything yet, but I am a New York resident. Have the accepted people been able to make deposits yet for Fall?

Question for the OOS/IS applicants who have been admitted already:

What does your current status say on the applicant checker? Does it say that you have been accepted/all materials received/etc? I’m just curious because I do not have my rec letters listed, even though they were sent with my transcript. Is anybody else missing rec letters or have them listed?

Thanks.

Are rec letters supposed to be listed? My transcripts used to say, received November 10th, then changed to December 1st. My recs have never been listed. Does your B brain site have a pink square with a list of things new students should complete at start of term, but nothing listed, just ‘applicants proceed to applicant tools’?
