Does anyone know about how many people Ithaca accepts?

At the last audition, he told us that they were going to accept 28, hoping that they would get a class of 14. He said that they generally have a 50% turnout rate of who accepts the offer.

I just got accepted to the Musical Theatre program!!! found out a few min. ago in the strangest way. So, mail at my house runs a little slow (1-2 days behind usually) so I still haven’t received my official letter yet. HOWEVER, I went on to myithaca and when I signed in, it brought me to the IC Peers website with a welcome message “Congratulations! You were accepted into Musical Theatre (B.F.A.) on Tuesday, March 9.”

How strange that I was accepted all that time ago and just NOW find out. Supremely glad though. Ithaca is my first choice so I am almost positive that I will be going there.

Congrats to everyone else that got in! And good luck to everyone that’s still waiting!!! (I know how horrible it is waiting.)

Contact me for facebook info.

congrats rdunk2010!!

i think i remember reading that you auditioned 2/27? I auditioned that date too and havent heard back, so I’m assuming its a no. oh well!

Also, i went on myithaca and it still says my audition hasn’t been recieved…should i be worried that maybe they lost my audition file?? ahh

bwaybank123 - I wouldn’t assume ANYTHING yet. They haven’t lost your file. It may just not have been updated on the myithaca website yet. Some don’t have any notification when they receive their acceptance letter.

And yes, I did audition on that day. It may be that they just haven’t looked over your file yet and made a decision. It happens that way sometimes too.

ahh I hope so! Thanks =]

bwaybank, I felt the exact same way! And then I got my acceptance letter…it’s a good thing that you haven’t heard yet! But I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. =]

To those of you who were accepted,
Did you send a mid-year report to Ithaca? It says they still haven’t received mine and I’m still waiting for my admissions decision and I’m wondering if it’s because they haven’t received that. I’ve sent one but I’m not sure if they’ve received it. Thanks!

Yep I sent a mid-year to them…I would say call them and find out if they have yours? That would definitely affect when you got your decision, because the packet you get in the mail is an acceptance into the school along with either an acceptance or rejection into the program. =]

Thanks Starbird!

Has anyone else who sent in a video audition heard anything? My audition switched over to received on Monday, but I wasn’t sure what I should be expecting.

My D auditioned on campus on 1/23. In late February I noticed that her Ithaca Admissions Portal still listed the audition as a missing requirement for admission. I got nervous that there was something wrong and contacted the school. They said that the audition doesn’t move from the “needed” column to “received” until the MT program sends their final decision to the admissions office. Well…last night I checked and the audition was moved to received! So now we are anxiously awaiting the letter. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the acceptance/rejection letter after the audition is moved to the received side on the portal?

vksmom- My status and Starbird’s changed on the same day (Mar. 9th). We got our letters/myithaca changed to IC Peers on the same day: March 15th. So about a week. I got my actual letter a few days after that because mail is always notoriously slow for getting to my house. You should receive something soon. And yes, when it switches over, it means a decision has been made by the department. Good luck! Let us know what happens!!

Has anyone who sent in a DVD heard anything yet? My audition status moved over to received a little over a week ago and I still haven’t heard anything. This waiting is killing me!
