Decisons are out...

I thought you needed a minimum of 1300 to get into the Honors (Commonwealth) College?? That's what it says on the website.

Ya that is what i thought also, i was surprised to get an invite. I guess when UMASS recalculated my gpa it must of been enough to compensate.

accepted! i talked to the admissions cousnsler and he said that u mass amherst sends the letter (in no particular order) in batches... so some people may get the letter right before New Year's Eve...

I'm in! Just checked right now on the website.

Location: Nassau County, New York
Female, Asian
Unweighed GPA: 3.2
Superscore: 1830
AP's: 5

Best of luck to you all!

I accidentally found out I got in. I got the e-mail to activate my OIT account.

Gosh darn it, I really wanted to open an envelope! But this was my safety, so I won't pretend I'm overly excited. Well, I guess I'll open the envelope to find out if I got into Commonwealth College (that would be exciting!)

Got my envelope today... got into Commonwealth College... w0ot! :D

still waiting. This waiting thing didn't work out too well for me with Penn State. Hope I have a better result here. They had everything they needed as of Oct 16. That's when my admissions ID letter is dated. I have a decent GPA but my SAT score is low 1610/2400
(1040/1600). Looks like all the responses have gone out to kids with higher SAT's. Maybe they're working their way down the line????

Accepted and into Commonwealth College

3.9 GPA
1390/2160 SAT

I'm very happy

My D got accepted today..envelope came in the mail...1040/1560 SAT 3.4 GPA (honors, ap etc) she has a hard decision to make since she got into Purdue too yesterday which they both are at the top of the list! good luck to all still waiting!

Accepted ! !

hayze my d has similar stats...she is oos also and got in..dont worry

Mom
that's good news. Did she declare a major?

hayze yes she did poly sci

Congratulations, MomfromPa! As a mother, I know how good it feels that your child was accepted to a school which he/she wanted -- have never been out to Purdue although I had a cousin who went there in the 70s and loved it. I went to UMass and absolutely loved it -- fell in love with Amherst and the surrounding areas. Great school and I'm sure your daughter will do well at either of her choices.

Again, congrats, and Merry Christmas!

My Daughter was accepted at UMass and seemed to have the Commonwealth College Stats but did not get an invite. Emailed admissions and they responded YES she is in Commonwealth. YEAH!

Also good to know that they were responsive and quick. Good luck to all!

I'm from CT and heard on the 18th. Got into Isenberg.

Stats-
3.42 gpa (UW; school doesn't do weighted, although UMass said they do that for the applicants. Probably ended up around 3.8 weighted)
1860 SAT (1210 M/V)
69/311(ish)

Decent extra currics and good amount of job experience. I think it was my essay that did it ;-)

It was more or less of a safety, but I might have to give Isenberg another look over

Thanks Myoneandonly and happy holidays to you as well!!

I got in, and in the Commonwealth College.
4.01 GPA, 2040 SAT, MA resident. Wasn't surprised - I was offered the Adams scholarship, so I figured that was basically an indicator of acceptance haha

My D got the acceptance packet this week.
3.5 unweighted (HS last school in USA not to weigh GPA?)
5 APs
610 Math
640 CR
660 Writing
Adams scholarship
MA resident
Undeclared major
Not her 1st choice. Like most of my parental peers following this strategy, the financial safety school.

can i just ask if anyone else finds it annoying when you get into your 2nd choice, and have yet to hear from your TOP choice, but keep getting safety schools acceptances in the mail?

it's annoying cuz u don't care about the safeties after u got into a good school, but ur still anxious to hear from your TOP

at least... this is my predicament
