I read on the facebook group for MT Class of 2014 that Emerson sent out letters this past Friday. Does anyone know if this is true/has anyone received a response yet?

I auditioned at NYC Unifieds and have been anxiously waiting to hear back!

I auditioned at the Chicago Unifieds… and they accepted me on the spot, along with another friend of mine. Then the mail came today… both me and my friend got rejected. You NEVER know.

Yes D got her acceptance today and was postmarked 3/12 for Theater Studies: Acting. Also got an e-mail indicating you could see decision today after 7:30 pm on their intercative services web site. When daughter an I went to check it said it was unavailable. So do not be concerned if you go in before 7:30 and see the unavailable message. Good luck to all!

I got my letter today! Accepted for marketing communications. Still unsure how I feel about Emerson, but it’s always nice to hear good news :). Good luck to everyone checking online tonight!

trace92: What program did you select when you applied? If you applied BFA it means you did not get in BFA, but BA acting allows for a more flexible curriculum. BFA is more intensive acting (and you cannot transfer from BA to BFA). D decided to apply BA and got accepted.

Newsdrms: I applied for bfa MT, and I got into BA acting, which I’m thrilled about. The only problem is that I didn’t know much about their BA program and how much those students are allowed to do…like if they can perform in the shows and whatnot.

EKFERR and nightingal - when my D was auditioning in Feb, the gentleman leading the info session kept saying over and over again that 55 would be accepted (MT) to yeild their final class. I can’t remember how many he said they wanted the final class to be, possibly 25.

My D liked the school and location - but when we went to Unified in NY the man who did the auditions was so rude to the kids - everyone coming out saying the same thing. It totally turned her off to the school - too bad I guess, but better to know before you pay the big tuition bill.
