Declare a major before applying for HAAS

if i declare a CS major in the beginning of my sophomore year, will it be a disadvantage for me if i apply for HAAS? will they see that i already have a major and make it hard for me to get into haas if i do apply?

According to their website, no.

This shouldn’t impact your candidacy at all. You could always call the admissions office to get their official perspective on it to supplement what their website says.

i was advised by peer not to claim “econ” major this semester until Haas application forms submitted coming fall …I am not sure (in turns I need to fight registration of econ and Haas upper division classes coming two semsters without Econ major priority)… but i took their words

@00558737 so according to that, it is okay to declare after i submit the application for haas in the fall?

berkicome, yes, it is my plan to apply Haas coming fall and Econ at Spring’14. Please always check other official/unofficial channels for yourself…
Official channels will claim that double major is welcome and acceptable, I know. … You will need to report double major at Haas application forms which i am not sure if it is favorable ( i assume there are two sides of opinions for the pro and con )
