<p>Yes, you need to declare a major - any major - at the end of U0. You can still change it, if you want. I have seen students changing their major even at U2 - so it is fine.</p>
<p>A liberal (or faculty program, depending on the faculty) is a program that has less requirements than a major program. It is sort of like a minor is length (sometimes more), but can be used in place of a major. </p>
<p>I wouldn't recomended it though, because I don't think that you would learn as much in the liberal program than you would in the major.</p>
