I did the info session but I'm still not sure which bio major to declare. They all seem interesting. I'm really considering human biology, microbiology, cell and molecular biology, and neurobiology. That's as far as I can narrow it down.

I know it's not possible to study more than one major so it can be hard to answer this question, but has anyone heard or know which of these majors tends to be easier?

Unless you have a lot of AP/CLEP credits, first year classes will be the same for all the biology majors, so there is no rush to declare a concentration.

Then look at the required courses for each of the concentration areas and see which courses are most interesting to you. The ease of a class is going to be a function of your interest in the subject. A class could be easy for a student that has a passion for the subject but a drag for someone who has little interest in the subject.

I’m actually a sophomore so I’m going to need to declare a major soon or else I won’t have an advisor. I’ve tried looking at the courses required and it looks all the same to be. There are only slight variations in the courses you have to take.

They majors I have narrowed down all seem interesting to me, but there no way for me to know for sure what I will enjoy the most without sampling them.

Has anyone had experience in choosing a biology major? Also which one tends to not burden you with so much work?
