I recently got accepted to Cal as a transfer student from a CC as a linguistics major, however, I am interested in declaring a second major for psych. Out of the 7 prerequisites, I've completed 5 and I can take the other 2 this summer, no problem. I read on the Cal site that you are guaranteed admittance to the psych major if:

1) you have a 3.2 in you prerequisite courses
2) declare psych as your major by your first semester there
3) submit application before deadline

Is it really that simple? Psych is such a competitive major and it's so impacted. Can it really be that easy to get into? If I take the last 2 prerequisites I need over this summer before I transfer and I submit my application to double major, then that means I'm in???

BTW I have a 4.0 GPA
