I’m currently entering my second year of College at UCSD. So I didn’t know about the Cal Grant last year of 2015-2016 and it said I “declined” the Cal-Grant last year when I received no information about the Cal Grant. Recently I found out the Cal Grant send it to the wrong schools of Stanford and USC. Does anyone know if I could get the money back for the 2015-2016 school year because they screwed me over and made me spend a HUGE sum of money. I didn’t know i was suppose to accept the Cal Grant because it was never there.
See your financial aid office. No one screwed you over. Take ownership for the fact that you simply for careless in filling out your forms and making sure to update to ensure your grant went to your current school.
It is the 2017-2018 school year. You missed out on the cal grant from two years ago and it’s not their fault.
Last school year was 2016-2017…not 2015-2016.
