Although I like Clemson, I cannot figure out how to decline an offer of admissions at Clemson. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Sorry to hear you won’t be going to Clemson next fall. However, you do not need to decline the offer of admissions. Simply don’t pay a deposit and after May 1st they’ll get the hint that you aren’t coming haha

dragon, Clemson is holding a spot for you. Do the right thing and call or email Clemson Admission Office asap and let them know you won’t be attending. You will make the day of someone on the waitlist…

Sorry, Pierre, this is one time when I don’t agree with your normally spot on advice…

That’s fine as well, I don’t have a problem with you doing it. Just saying that there’s no need to do anything if you don’t feel like it but that is a good point with people on the wait list (didn’t really think about that)

We have been trying to decline the offer as well. S couldn’t find anything online - so I looked and couldn’t either. I called twice - both times I couldn’t get through, but instead got a busy signal (similar to what happened when we had to call during busy time around when applications were due). S is going to just send them an email tomorrow. We are trying to make this official to free up a spot for someone else, a decline button like other schools would have been easier!

For those of you not accepting your Clemson offer - please let admissions know by email that you do not intend to accept

My daughter is on the Waitlist and we are very anxious to know if she’ll be a Tiger in the Fall!

Thanks.

My S sent an email to decline his offer. Here’s hoping that his spot (and others) will open up the waitlist and mean good news for your daughter!!

Did anyone ever find a way online to decline here? It’s one of the few schools that doesn’t appear to have that option, though my son may be missing it. He’d like to open a spot for someone on the waiting list. If not, he will email. Thanks.

I’d just email if its that hard to find.

They don’t want you to decline the offer because they want you to come here! haha

@tigerin13 He did email and they sent a nice email back letting him know he was welcome back any time. So kind!
