Declining Acceptances

Daughter has her acceptance and deposit sent. Not certain she has all her other acceptance cards, to return and decline their offer. Should I insist she contact all the schools and let them know her decision? How important is it?

It's important to the schools and it's a courtesy. Universities/colleges are waiting to learn you daughter's decision and can't assume she isn't attending just because they haven't heard. They will ultimately contact you, but as a courtesy your D should send the admissions department an email declining their offer.

Thanks! My thoughts exactly and you never want to burn any bridges. Any thoughts on best way for notification if she no longer has the official acceptance forms?

On their Admissions web pages, there will probably be a link that says "Contact Us."

If we didn't have forms from the school to mail back we called the admissions office directly and asked what method they preferred. Most just requested an email. (I would hope that the schools check the email address to the student's to confirm it actually came from the student.)
