PLZ HELP!! I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. In my case, I have been talking to the admission officer for a long time. We have gotten to know each other and I have been giving the impression that I will attend. However, I have decided to go to community college, but I’m not sure how to decline. I love the school and I’m kind of taking a risk. If I choose to attend, I can apply for a scholarship and if I receive it, I will only have to pay $452 a year. If I don’t receive it, then I would have to pay $6452, which my family cannot afford. That’s is why it is a risk I am taking by declining. What should I do?
Also this all has been added up with the financial aid I have received. It does not include any loans (which is a huge NO for my family) or work study (which I don’t think I would have time)
This might be a silly question, but I wonder:
Let’s say a school admits you, gives you a great welcome and financial aid package, and you decline. Do you think this school is less likely to admit you for grad school admissions?
No. Grad admissions are determined by separate departments or schools (med school, law school, etc.) even though some of the paperwork may go through other administrative channels, depending on the institution.
