<p>I'm a California HS student, but I will be attending Yale next year.</p>
<p>This might be a dumb question, but how do I decline my cal grants (or do I even need to?) Right now, my "current school of attendance" on the cal grant site is listed as UC Berkeley.</p>
<p>Does anyone know how I can change that or inform cal grants that I will be attending OOS next year? This way my funds can go to someone else..</p>

<p>I don’t think you have to do anything. Once you declined Cal, your aid should have been cancelled.</p>
<p>The entity that controls monies like Cal Grant is known as California Student Aid Commission (CSAC), not “cal grants.” They also control the Chafee Grant.</p>
<p>Cal Grant is an entitlement grant, not a scholarship. Anyone who qualified would have received it. There is nothing you have to do. The aid simply will not be distributed as it will not be requested by a qualified institution.</p>
